Detail View of polished Black Basalt Octoform
 Octoform
A strong and sensual sculpture by Dominic Bromley.
This distinctive work is made of black basalt (an unusual ceramic
material originally developed by Josiah Wedgwood) and limited in
production to just 50 pieces. The original piece was sculpted by
Bromley and each piece is individually hand cast, signed and
numbered, then finished by him. The actual sculpture measures
   approximately 32cm x 12cm x 9cm (12.5" x 4.75" x 3.5")and is
   mounted on a solid oak plinth, measuring 12cm x 12cm x 12cm
   (4.75" x 4.75" x 4.75"). The Octoform is also made in parian - an
unusual ceramic material similar to porcelain, originally favoured by
Victorian artists for its marble like quality, but as with Black Basalt,
it is now rarely used. For larger commissions or other materials,
   please get in touch.
